About

Our aim at Rank-Gain is to provide tools to gather meaningful information that can assist webmasters in their Search Engine Optimization (SEO).  Rank-Gain’s tools analyze pages, sites, links and search engine results to help you improve your search engine rankings.  Our aim is to be the hub from which you can measure and improve your SEO efforts.

Rank-Gain grew from 6 years of Do It Yourself SEO experience for a commercial web business running a network of 10 related websites in 5 international markets.  SEO can be a frustrating game.  There is an absense of hard facts, an abundance of rash, confidently stated false knowledge and Google steadfastly refuses to publish the recipe for the secret sauce.

When working with a site on a day to day basis it is easy to get too close.  Rank-Gain’s tools are designed to help those charged with SEO to step back and see their site as a search engine does.  We won’t tell you what keyword density will rocket you to number one for your main keyword term (because no keyword density will do that), we won’t generate your title and keywords tags (because you should do that yourself) and we won’t generate the ideally optimized doorway page for you (cause it’ll be spam and Google will catch up and you’ll get hurt).  What Rank-Gain will do is help you;

  • identify the right key phrases to target,
  • optimize your page content,
  • analyze and improve your site structure,
  • monitor your server’s performance,
  • find site’s that you should seek links from
  • monitor the number of inbound links you have
  • keep track of your search engine rankings for your top terms
  • view all important SEO elements in the context of your market.

In short.  By analyzing important aspects of your SEO efforts and those of your competitors we aim to help you see why you aren’t at the top for that term you crave and what you need to do to get there.

Like any set of tools, ours are only as good as the use they are put to and that’s what this blog is about.  I’ll try to separate the wheat from the chaff in the SEO advice stakes, provide some of the basics of how to go about improving your Search Engine Rankings and keep you up to date on important news in the ever changing world of Search Engines.
